Hal Coker is a dedicated Alabama attorney who believes the practice of law is first and foremost about helping people. Originally from Alexander City, Alabama, Hal is passionate about serving individuals, families, and businesses across the State of Alabama with honesty, hard work, and a genuine commitment to their success. He considers it a privilege to practice law and values the opportunity to make a positive impact in the communities he serves every day.
Hal earned his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Strategic Communications, with a minor in General Business, graduating summa cum laude from the University of South Alabama. During his time at South Alabama, he was actively involved in various honor societies and served as the President of his fraternity. Following graduation, Hal attended the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where he discovered his passion for civil litigation and advocacy. While at Jones, he served as a member of the Board of Advocates and competed on Faulkner’s National Moot Court Team. He earned his Juris Doctor in May of 2024 and became a practicing attorney later that year.
Hal has built a reputation for being approachable, dependable, and relentless in advocating for his clients. He understands that every case carries real-life consequences for the people involved and approaches each matter with the same level of preparation, attention, and determination, regardless of the size or complexity of the case. He believes strong communication, preparation, and personal relationships are essential to effective representation and works hard to ensure every client feels heard, respected, and supported throughout the legal process.
Outside of the office, Hal enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, family, friends, and their two golden retrievers, Jax and Scottie. In his free time, Hal enjoys golfing, deep-sea fishing, and finding any excuse to enjoy a good lunch with family and friends.
Hal’s current practice areas include Auto Accidents, 18-Wheeler Accidents, Business Litigation, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, and Wrongful Death matters. Whether representing clients in complex litigation or helping individuals and families through difficult circumstances, Hal is committed to providing personalized attention, honest communication, and aggressive representation.
